Our mission is to build lightweight balance to pedal kids bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children.
Kidvelo Bikes is an Australian specialty designer and manufacturer of kid’s balance bikes and our next-generation design of balance to pedal bikes. We believe the balance bike is the single best approach to teaching a child to ride a bike. We are passionate in our belief that a balance bike will give your child the necessary skills for a lifetime of fearless riding, all the while building their confidence, coordination, and muscle development. To get that boost, kids need to be comfortable on their bikes, therefore the bikes should be lightweight, durable, and capable.
After 10 years of working in the balance bike industry, we took what worked and removed what didn’t and created a game-changing revolutionary 2 in 1 bike design that starts off as a child’s balance bike, and once the balance has been mastered the balance bike converts into kids first pedal bike with the attachment of pedals.
Kidvelo scrutinizes and purposefully selects every tube, angle, weld, and component on their bike line to ensure a balanced, responsive ride for every kid. Our balance bikes offer an athletic riding position to enable kids to ride with less effort and maneuver the bike with ease and greater control. Internally routed brake cables, kids sized hand brakes and freewheel hubs on single speed bikes, threadless sealed headsets, kid-specific saddles, small-diameter grips, handlebars, and brake levers, rust-proof chain, protective sealant under lead-free paint to prevent dents, dings, and rust, and withstand the use and abuse that kids are well known for. All this comes in a brightly colored, lightweight package so kids can fall in love with biking just as you did.
